Berrison were approached by a joint venture bid team from three different companies including Doosan. Our brief was to provide the bid team with assessment centre training in preparation for the contract bid.
A major part of the assessment centre scoring was the team’s ability to demonstrate effective behaviours in a role-play scenario, as the individuals would be the main interface with the client on a £250 million project.
The client was also using behavioural competence interviewing which was new to the JV bid team.
We were tasked to accelerate the development of this team, who had never met or worked together previously and who knew nothing of each other’s roles, skills and attributes. We were also asked to brief the bid team on the assessment process and build their confidence to deal effectively with the behavioural competence interview.
Berrison ran this as a two-day residential event. This brought the team together socially as well as in the training environment. Every delegate on the programme left it describing it as “really useful”. “I knew nothing of the assessment process but am now confident and know what to expect”.
